Dear All,

Due to unforseen circumstances, the author below, had to postpone her talk last week and it will now be on Thursday 2nd October,

Local author, Pam Bayfield speaking about "Silver Dreams. The story of Broken Hill" on  Thursday 2nd October at 6.30pm at Mona Vale library. Cost $7.50, bookings essential, tel. 9970 1600 or email catherine_buddin@pittwater.nsw.gov.au

It is a historical saga depicting life in the early days of the town, following the lives of several families whose lives become intertwined.

Pam Bayfield was born in Mt Isa, Queensland in 1940 and most of her education was in Broken Hill. As a teacher, she worked, amongst other schools, at Pittwater House, Collaroy for ten years. She has written various books including  Knees Up Mother Brown & How To Get New Knees and Survive.about her bilateral knee replacement operation.  She lives on the northern beaches in Sydney.
