Programme:

The day is divided into 3 workshops of which you will have the opportunity to attend all 3:

  • Plan for the Future: Food & Textiles Teaching
  • Inspiring Textiles in the Classroom
  • Inspiring Food in the Classroom

Inspiring Food in the Classroom + Barbara Monks

Barbara has been delivering sood science workshops across the country as part of the Food Teachers Centre programme.
During this session she guides you though various food science experiments to help students work towards being able to investigate foods themselves. This is needed for the GCSE food preparation and nutrition. The workshop will cover ideas for building up the food science and investigation skills through KS3 and 4.
