Saturday, April 29, 9am-5pm       Leader Bryan MacKay, Billy Goat Trail and the C & O Canal Towpath
Join naturalist and hiker Bryan MacKay for a strenuous hike just outside Washington, DC. We'll stroll to see Great Falls, then hike on the Billy Goat Trail, scrambling over rocks and along cliff edges for dramatic views
of the Potomac gorge. This is the best place in Maryland for spring , and we'll see lots of them. Photographers and children over about 8 (if supervised) are welcome, but not a suitable hike for dogs. Only about 5 miles, but we will spend about 6 hours outdoors. Cancelled if rainy. Over 200 bird species have visited Patterson Park, an important migratory stopover in Baltimore City! Audubon experts will lead us in search of avian friends! Bring the whole family - all ages and abilities welcome!   There is no need to RSVP for this event, just arrive ready to explore! To borrow binoculars email baltimore@audubon.org or call 410-558-2473.   Meet at the fountain in the northwest corner of Patterson Park, closest to the intersection of E. Lombard St. and S. Patterson Park Ave.

North Point is a 1,310 acre park on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay.  We’ll be searching for spring migrants and resident birds on the Marsh Trail and bay front. Park entrance fee is $3/vehicle (have exact change). Contact

Thursday, May 11, 9-1030AM, Audubon Wetlands Tour
Visit Pickering Creek Audubon Center to learn about the 90 acres of constructed wetlands created in partnership with Chesapeake Wildlife Heritage. Learn about the value of large-tract habitat restoration projects to birds, other wildlife and the Chesapeake Bay.  Expect to see wading birds, late migrants, and raptors.  We'll tour about two miles of trails on foot across flat but uneven ground.  Delightful views of the wetlands from two viewing platforms will be enjoyed along the way. This program is supported through a grant from Waterfowl Chesapeake.  Free.  Registration required by calling 410-822-4903.

Patterson Park Audubon 
Saturday, May 6, 9-1030AM, Habitat Team
We are building bird habitat in Patterson Park and need your help! These native gardens provide food and homes for the park's wildlife, and learning spaces for students. Tools, gloves, water, and snacks provided. Service hours awarded to helpful students. No need to register. Meet at the wetland garden, uphill from the Boat Lake.  Email baltimore@audubon.org for directions for questions.

Saturday, May 20, Project Clean Stream Cleanup
Saturday Service Day. Volunteers of all ages are welcome. We will remove trash from wet woodlands across Sharp Rd as part of statewide activities for Project Clean Stream.  Call 410-822-4903 with questions.
