Next time you are in town, check out the St. Augustine Spice and Tea Exchange on Hypolita Street.
Cleaning tip: White wine will take out red wine stains on clothing if applied immediately. Club soda and cold water are also helpful. Blot with an absobent cloth and then sprinkle salt onto the stain and let stand for 1-2 minutes. Repeat if the stain remains.
Apply a laundry presoak before washing. On carpet: try club soda or water and blot, then mix baking soda and water in a 3 to 1 ratio and scrub into the stain with your spouse's toothbrush.
Let dry and vacuum. Don's forget to put the tootbrush back!
New Cookbook Request: The recipes are coming in but we need more as we put together the second cookbook that includes the best family recipes from our guests here at the Carriage Way. It took us nearly fifteen years to put together the first cookbook, so we hope to have this one completed within a year. The cookbook will have one recipe on a page and we would like you to provide a short story that complements the recipe. Send us only your best and if we print your recipe, we will send you a complementary copy.
