It's that time of year again, time to start thinking about attending/presenting at our Musician's Workshop, and time to encourage your students to apply for our student honorariums!
1. The Musician's Workshop is scheduled for June 13-14, 2008. This year's workshop will highlight pedagogy techniques in the classroom, performance and analysis, and teaching music with technology, as a tribute to the life and work of Bruce Benward. You will receive our flyer within the next two weeks, but in the meantime, please feel free to go check it out on our web site at:

2. The deadline for applying for our student honorariums is approaching quickly. The deadline is March 1, 2008. Students need to submit a short essay describing their goals as a musician. The award is determined primarily on that essay question, along with a letter from the instructor. Make sure your students are aware of this. We wanted to make the application process easy for student and faculty alike, but we also want to make sure that your students aren't misled by the informal setting of a box on an online form. Make sure you let them know that the information included in that box is the information we will use to determine the awards.
