We urge you to stay at the LAX Marriott even if you're local, or even if only for one night. We get the ballrooms (and various other perks, such as midnight buffets) based on how many people stay at the hotel - the more people stay at the hotel the better an event we can have now and in the future! So if you can, stay at the LAX Marriott!

This year we're partnering with GlobalDance TV to produce our 2011 video - they will be offering streaming video from their website and a DVD of the event and classes for sale shortly after the event. If technology allows we may also be able to do a live broadcast! It's an affordable, fast way to see the footage and review your classes. Order forms and details will be available at the camp and on the web soon!

We're delighted to offer live music Saturday and Sunday nights at our after hours dances starting at 2 AM - The Careless Lovers from Seattle, featuring Camp Hollywood instructor Mike Faltesek! It's going to be a blast! (and yet another reason to book a room at the Marriott...)

We also are offering for the first time ever live music from The Campus Five for all contest finals on Sunday - both Classic finals, both Jack and Jill finals, and Amateur Lindy finals. The Pro Lindy finals, Shag and Balboa finals will also be performed to live music during the night dances.

In order to streamline the process this year, we are asking contestants to pre-register via e-mail, this way we can get right to the contest and make it snappy! Here's how to register:

Fourteen (for fourteen years of Camp Hollywood) contestants will be drawn by random lottery to participate! Unfortunately we can't accept all applicants because it makes the contest run too darned long. So we figured the fairest selection process would be a random draw. Good luck, ladies!
