You know, me can always do what me want to do. Just in time, everything happen in time. You see, God is my father and him grow me just the way a son suppose to be grown. The perfect father for me."

RANGER REPORT & July 6/05
On the morning of our big June outdoor show in the park, our drummer Ras Michael twisted a tendon in one of his legs. He tells us that he slipped on some wet grass while playing with his young niece. Fortunately we were using two drummers that evening and Myles Rothwell took up the slack masterfully. Speaking of Myles, he just celebrated a birthday. Happy Birthday Myles!
The day after Ras Michael's tendon twist we played the Dutch Cottage and Tim Campbell came out and played drums for the whole last set which took some of the load off of our 1&1/2 &legged stick-man. Thanks T.C.
The day after that, we played The Bridgeport Rib House and we ran into the legendary Michael Jones (former Manatee sound-man, camera-man, recording engineer, archivist and web-master) who brought three long-time Manatee friends- Bryant Collar, Dave Mandlowitz, and Brian Mixman" Miksis ( Brian is a sound technician for the NBC series Law & Order; Special Victims Unit".) We go back to the 1980s with these cats. The whole evening was recorded by Uncle Ronkle.
Three days later it was the first day of summer so my friend G. Best (up from Key West) and I took my two sons, Liam and Wyatt, to New York City. We shopped at my two favorite reggae stores: Jammyland (60 E. Third St.), and Nicholas (870 Broadway between 17th and 18th). Jammyland is across the street from the New York City chapter of The Hell's Angels. We also got to visit with some old friends, like PACE University professor Geof Brackett, model Judy Steele, writer Brian Hassett and his mother Enid.
48 hours later we were scheduled to play at Scoogie's in Flourtown, PA. (Don't you love these names?) Well the Flourtown Chamber of Commerce was doing a thing with all the local merchants right across the street at the McGarrity Chevrolet dealership so they hired us to play for a couple of hours right in the showroom. It was a little surreal but it was air-conditioned and the food was great. When we were finished we just had to walk across the street to Scoogies (and Ras Michael was STILL late).
The next day was our triumphant return to K.C.'s Alley in Ambler, PA.
The following afternoon we played our THIRD high school graduation party of the season (!?) Really.
The next morning we awoke to the first Sunday of Summer 2005. First it was off to Phoenixville, PA to headline at their annual Canal Days with Ted The Fiddler. Then we hit the Ridgeport Brib House" for a rousing Sunday night show that featured musical appearances by Ray-I Adkins and Dance Wareham.
The month of June ended on the 30th and a birthday party for Myles Rothwell at The Salford in Harleysville, PA starring a cast of hundreds and the Rev. Bull Brunner on saxophones.
Also in the news: Manatee producer David Ivory recently signed a production deal with Atlantic Records. This is a prestige label that has been the home to everyone from Ray Charles to Led Zepplin. Congratulations David!
We continue to work steadily on our new studio CD.
This Sunday afternoon we are back at The Fitzwater Station in Mont Clare, PA. This is an outdoor all-ages show.
All for now,
Ranger Will
