AFFA IN THE NEWS!
Austin Friends of Folk Art received a prominent mention in the Wednesday, April 28, feature Collector's home folk art treasures on display, published on the front page of the Austin American-Statesman's Life section, by art critic Jeanne Claire van Ryzin.  The article highlights the private folk art collection of Ed Jordan, longtime AFFA member, whose pieces are currently on display in the Mexic-Arte Museum exhibition, Imagining Mexico: Expressions in Popular Culture.  So when you see, Ed, remember to thank him.  He's probably AFFA's biggest promoter, and he deserves our enthusiastic expressions of appreciation! If you missed the print article, you can also read it online at http://www.austin360.com/arts/collectors-home-folk-art-treasures-on-display-638455.html

Also, Ed Jordan's neighbor, Phil Le Conte, has posted on Youtube a wonderful photo collection of Ed's house and garden in a 2-minute show called "Mr.Jordan's Magic Garden."  Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqOPPCoCTo0  Enjoy!
