The Arizona Water Bar: Tales from the Desert Southwest
by Drew Aquilina
Green Pieces Press

book review by Kate Robinson

"In the desert, the watering hole is a place where nature must interact on many levels."

Precious water resources, Sonoran Desert wildlife, and desert ecosystem issues converge in this humorous collection of graphic tales. Bishop’s Endgame by Michael Frost Beckner

"In a nutshell, the mythology of Nathan Muir is nothing short of epic, and nothing he says or does should be ignored.  Electric from the get-go, Beckner's sequel is a supercharged fireball, a raging inferno of action and thrill."

Molly the Mallard Duck by Karen J Tapp

"This tale is exciting, enchanting, and all the more interesting because it is true. The scenery and animals are rendered true to life, allowing children to learn about mallard ducks. The human characters are drawn in a more whimsical style, adding to the text’s humor and drama."
