ISSA: John Plant Award for Günter Glöckner
Günter has been awarded with the John Plant Membership Development Award at the ISSA/Interclean in Chicago. “While Günter has been recruiting members to ISSA for as long as I know him, this award was earned for the 30 new members recruited to ISSA by Günter Glöckner in 2011”,says ISSA Managing Director John Garfinkel.
The John Plant Membership Development Award honors individuals who have been proactive in recruiting new members to ISSA and have successfully done so with at least 25 new member companies within a single year.
The award is named after John Plant, when as ISSA president, he recruited 125 new individual memberships for ISSA. The last time this award was earned was in 2002.
Günter Glöckner is owner and managing director of Solution Glöckner, founded by Glöckner in the region near Mannheim, Germany.
The company has received several European innovation awards as well as awards for its contributions to a better environment through the use of green technologies.
Günter Glöckner currently serves on ISSA’s Europe board, representing Germany, where he has served since 2005, as well as its chairman in 2009 and 2010.
günter Glöckner introduced a series of cleaning symposiums to create awareness and value for our members in Germany and where he also successfully recruited many Germany-based firms to become members of ISSA.
He has also greatly enhanced the ISSA relationship with the leading publication in Germany for the cleaning industry REINIGUNGS MARKT, for which he has written a monthly issa column.
