While we love our year round knitters and crocheter, we are always excited to see the seasonal stitchers start popping back in as the weather gets cooler. We have a lot of great stuff planned for the next few months, it's going to be a great season!!

New In The Shop

We are long time fans of Anna Hrachovek and her designs at MochiMochi Land. If you aren't familiar with her YouTube Channel or her Instagram, we encourage you to check them out. Anna has been knitting silly creatures, making adorable videos, and writing wonderful books for almost 15 years. We are so excited to have a selection of her Mini Mochi kits in the shop that include pattern, yarn, stuffing, and embellishments for making your own tiny friend, perfect for adventures. We have all of the kits pictured above and a few more available in the shop.

Introducing the Amigas de Rosalinda Collection — nine brand-new colorways in our best-selling Malabrigo Rios yarn base.

Inspired by the classic ‘Rosalinda,’ this collection plays with a multicolored palette in subtle tones — a fresh twist on Malabrigo’s signature style. Together, they form a cohesive palette that’s perfect for colorwork, fades, or stand-alone pieces. We have Rosalinda joined by seven of her friends: Melissa, Zahara, Daphne, Celestina, Magnolia, Gardenia, and Delphira.

Like all Rios colors, these are hand-dyed on their 100% Superwash Merino wool, worsted-weight base — soft, strong, and ideal for everything from garments to accessories. Sarah was so inspired by these colors, she started knitting the Early Riser Baby Blanket (free pattern in shop) with Rosalinda, Daphne, Melissa, and Gardenia which she paired with a skein of Tosh Vintage in Daisy.

We are so excited to have locally-dyed, self striping yarns from Hinkston Handmade (formerly Rock and String) back in the shop after an oh so long hiatus. For those of you who haven't tried these wonderful yarns, Erin creates hand-dyed, self striping colorways inspired by the world around her in her home studio in rural Kentucky. Her sock bases are delightfully squishy and her color combinations never fail to surprise us. We are especially excited about her new Christmas colorway- Grandma's Reindeer Incident.

Introducing the new Zodiac Series from Emma's Yarn! As they follow the sun’s path through the cosmos throughout the next astrological year, they are releasing a Theme Pack and a Super Silky Trio for each of the twelve signs of the zodiac as they come up! We will have all 12 colorpacks and theme packs as they come out.

July 22nd marks the beginning of the fifth month of the astrological year, Leo. People born with the sun in Leo are said to be creative, expressive, and natural leaders. Emma's Leo Theme Pack and Super Silky Trio taps into leos’ charismatic nature that is ruled by the sun.

Looking for a project? We have a Ravelry Bundle full of ideas for using the Emma's Theme Packs. As for the colorpacks we think they would be wonderful in projects like the Gradient Lights Shawl by Laura Dobratz, the Triangulate Shawl by Carissa Browning, the Dreamstate Shawl by Lisa Mutch, or the Bunting Shawl by Hailey Bailey
Just when you thought this summer couldn’t get any HOTTER…the Crazy Beautiful Color Club from Emma's arrives! Fresh squeezed juice and vibrant summer sunsets are what they're bringing to the picnic this August with fiery hues of orange and pink. This colorway is only made hotter by pairing with Born In A Barn, Very Berry, and Cactus Flower.

It is our favorite time of year- Knitted Wit National Parks Club season!!! Every month from May-August, Knitted Wit will release 4 new colorways inspired by National Parks areas, such as National Recreation Areas, Heritage sites, etc. This will be the final year for the National Parks Club so Knitted Wit is going to revisit their 16 most popular parks colors. For August we have Zion, Yellowstone, Great Smokey Mountains, and Grand Canyon National Parks.

As usual, there is a Passport to track your parks purchases from us and other local yarn shops as you travel through the summer. Due to Knitted Wit's announced closure at the end of August, there won't be a pin or patches this year for people who filled or bought 4 of the yarns, but we are working on a little something to commemorate the finishers this year. Stayed tuned.
