Don't miss this special event with Josie Iselin, beloved author of the beautiful books Beach Stones, Seashells and Heart Stones. She will discuss her new book, Beach: A Book of Treasures, featuring collaged images of the treasures we live with as reminders of the beach: sea glass, driftwood, shells, and stones. Accompanying her gorgeous images are Iselin's thoughts on the varied ways we experience the seashore and fascinating insights into the scientific ecosystem of the ocean, such as how the oyster constructs its shell, and the ways in which algae is classified.

For almost fifteen years, Iselin has used a flatbed scanner and computer to generate her beautiful imagery. Each of her books is built within the computer, in essence as a piece of sculpture.
