Nubuke Foundation/ SMBA collaboration
Ongoing till November 2012

A joint curatorial project between Nubuke Foundation and SMBA, Amsterdam will witness the sharing of ideas between 9 extremely talented artists from the Netherlands and Ghana in the next 3 months. Artists will be exploring the centuries old relationship between our two countries using the language of contemporary art to tease out the subleties and nuances of our joint histories.
All the artists have now visited Ghana and the Netherlands and are retiring to their studios to start creating works for this exhibition which will be held in Amsterdam and Accra in August and November respectively.
There will be video screenings, talks and exhibitions for the general public.

1 June 2012
Nubuke Foundation visited the SOS Hermann- Gmeiner International College Art and Science Exhibition as part of the end of year school activities.
The art exhibition was opened by Odile Tevie, who noted that the school should explore the multidisciplinary approach to art teaching by giving the scientists and artists a space for interaction which would introduce students to new materials, encourage art critiquing and urged students to volunteer their time with professional artists.
