Hello families!
We have eagerly jumped into the month of March when we celebrate a LOVE of reading by enjoying the same book as a whole school! This year our book is FLORA & ULYSSES by Kate DiCamillo. Each day our students are asked to read a few chapters and then answer some trivia the following day, with a chance to win some great prizes! Classes also participate in a classroom journaling experience. On March 24th we will have a special guest artist join us for grade level assemblies and we will have a celebration assembly on March 30th. There are A LOT of fun things to look forward to this month!
Our 4th and 5th graders continue to diligently practice for the LINK UP recorder performance in May. Mrs. Kallenbach has come back on Fridays for some additional instruction to help continue to grow our students' recorder skills.
We begin our state testing after Spring Break. Please check your email for a letter from our State Superintendent, Dr. Michael Rice, about the upcoming assessments.
