I think I miss you!

Dear friends, these newsletters have been a little less consistent as life swirls around and the year winds down (where did the time go?) Still, even when things feel dormant, I can somehow always look back and say, "Wow, so much has happened and so much is on the horizon!"

I can confidently say I've lived a whole lifetime in this one year but don't have much to show for it...yet. Somehow though, i have a strong sense that the seeds are doing their thing underground and suddenly they'll pop up when they're least expected.  With that said, I wanted to share a few new-ish things with you - big and small.

RECAP///

Enneacast Interview w/ Love Thy Neighborhood
Every once in a while you get to do an interview where you get past the superficial top layer and go a little deeper. If you're into typology and how personality types relate to others and God, then maybe you'll enjoy this interview I did on Love Thy Neighborhood's Enneacast podcast. We talked about my Ennegram number and the strengths/weaknesses of a person who's got a savior complex (points to self). haha!  listen

Something a Little Different w/ a Friend in France
Remember that 2020 France tour that got cancelled? Well stay tuned on that! Until then, here is a little collab I did with a friend on that side of the ocean. I hope you enjoy this very different, out of the ordinary expression. Maybe pull out a strobe light and move a muscle! listen

ON THE HORIZON///

If you've been tracking with me, you know that I've been slowly pivoting (i hate that word) for over 4 years now. What used to be 125+ shows a year is now more like 40. Maybe less. It's been a slow steady veer as I deviate, explore, and expound on my other passions that somehow have all emerged from this music-making-storytelling foundation. I love the freedom to decide year to year, what it is I'm doing and how it is I'm doing it.

With that said, I wanted to share some things that I am working on and participating in, in the coming weeks and months - things you can attend, join, support, or observe from a distance.

"the goal is to wholistically care for the craft and character of the artist"

Peace and I will be tag-teaming it and speaking on the what and why of what we do: how our creativity influences our life and how our life influences our creativity. Speaking is the one thing we both enjoy more than music-making (believe it or not). So we are really looking forward to this! If you are a creative, there will be plenty to feed off of as we share the platform with our friends and favorites Jess Ray, Taylor Leonhardt, Sharlene Provilus, Andy Squyrses, and more. It's worth the trek!

refine retreat
March 15-19
Our Lady of the Pines Convent
Fremont, OH

Souls that are tended and cared for in the deep places, are primed to offer up something that offers wholeness, healing, inspiration and hope to a world dimmed by superficiality.

Next Spring I will be returning as a speaker, performer, and workshop facilitator at Refine. The theme is Poiema (workmanship). What if instead of thinking of our creations as poiema's, we thought of ourselves in that way? This is an annual women's retreat that I urge you to attend if you are looking for rest, inspiration, artistic guidance, new friendships, and opportunities to connect with God in creative ways.

There are a few spots left for this 4 day all-inclusive retreat. So if you would like to attend, use code POIEMARETREAT for $100 off.

website-making + artist coaching
This winter I will be back at it - jumping into dreamcasting and web presence building with and for creative entreprenuers and small business owners who want to give a face to the ideas swirling around in their imaginations. My most recent project was a 4-month undertaking, working with Brooklyn-based sound bath artist, Stephanie Thompson, to clarify her goals, artistic focus, and ways to best explain and present her artistry to potential clients and her audience. We then created a website for her to put it all in one place. For me this is a creative excercise that bridges my 'past life" work as a publicist, and my current life work as an artist.

UPCOMING SHOWS

With all that said, there will always be shows. There won't be many, but there will alway be some. I seem to be saying yes less and less. It's just a different season for me right now.

As always, i feel a special obligation to thank everyone that has come along for the ride. There have been so many curves, hills, valleys, and maybe even a few potholes :) but I am ever greateful for your faithfulness through it all.

Much love to you!
