Goodbye, dear Angie!
It was a true Island farewell for Angie Kearley yesterday, with all the
loving, admiring intensity of feeling so typical of the Scotland Island
community.
Angie’s mother, June, recalled a spirited life with her girl, while
Angie’s daughter, Laura, paid a beautiful and very emotional tribute to
her mother. She had come from Africa for the funeral , her father,
Gary, from New York. Many other expats were there, too,
including long time neighbours, Paul and Janet Boocock, from New
Zealand.
And the reminisences flowed of a blithe spirit – a wonderful ,
vivacious woman who was the most generous of anyone Florence and I have
ever known.
