In short 2012
2012 was a year with many changes and challenges due to creative decisions and shifting motivations. It was a great pleasure to work for the film project ‘Yours in Solidarity‘ by Nicoline van Harskamp (a film and performance project that tells the
histories of anarchists in an international network, on the basis of their correspondence with
the late Dutch anarchist Karl Max Kreuger.). Premiered at the Manifesta in Genk, Belgium, spring 2012 and 9th Shanghai Biënnale, 02/10/2012 - 31/03/2013, Shanghai, China.
Since 2011 under the organization Anotherfilm, that besides providing advice and production services to filmmakers and artists, Bea de Visser is the consultant for the art collection of the Lievensberg Ziekenhuis in Bergen op Zoom. Besides she teaches skills like production, direction, concept development and scenario on a non-regular basis at among others the HKU in Hilversum. Under the name Anotherfilm Bea de Visser curates programs for among others the Urban Explorers Festival 2013.
In 2013 Anotherfilm advises the (Pre)production and development of the TV-series ‘Systems’ (working title) by Sabina van de Linden. Release Grote Rotterdamse Kunstkalender 2013, ISBN 978 94 90608 43 9, 370 pagina's. € 29,95. www.groterotterdamsekunstkalender.nl with a photo of ‘Chairs Missing’.

Films in which Anotherfilm participated:
Dutch Film Festival Debut Competition: Filmprijs van de Stad Utrecht 2012: ‘Interzone – poems by Bart Chabot’ by Jeroen S. Rozendaal (scenario consultant Bea de Visser). The jury was struck by this surprising mix of documentary and fiction. A fictional alter ego looks back on the life of the poet and the dilemma in which he says he has ended up. The maker has all the cinematic possibilities exploited to sketch a touching and warm portrait of Chabot.
Flash back:
Spring 2012, CD release of ‘Dokument – Ten Highlights in the history of popular music 1981>1982 with amongst others Valori Plastici (Dirk Polak, Joop van Brakel, Bea de Visser) during ‘ULTRA2012’. The ULTRA2012 events were no nostalgic strolls down memory lane, rather a set of nights concerned with bringing together the original movers and shakers in ULTRA 79-83 with artists and bands who are busy creating their own mind-maps in this fractured modern world of ours.
Thanks for your interest,
