The Perfect Stranger Tomorrow!
MEGAN MIRANDA
The Perfect Stranger
Tuesday, April 25 at 7 PM

We are pleased to welcome the author of the New York Times bestseller All the Missing Girls. Megan Miranda will read from her masterful follow-up novel, The Perfect Stranger, in which a journalist sets out to find a missing friend, a friend who may never have existed at all.

"Fans of Gillian Flynn, Chevy Stevens, and Jennifer McMahon will devour this relentlessly paced and deftly plotted thriller...The story moves at a feverish, unfaltering pace, keeping readers just as perplexed as the characters." - Publishers Weekly

Speak of Me As I Am SONIA BELASCO
Speak of Me As I Am
Wednesday, April 26 at 7 PM

Meet Sonia Belasco, who will read from her first novel, a moving story of grief, honesty and the healing power of art - and the ties that bind us together, even when those we love are gone.

"Debut author Belasco adeptly captures the tribulations of high school life while also celebrating art's ability to help clarify and contextualize its joys and sorrows...The novel's most intriguing character...is grief itself, which the author illuminates, examines, and dissects with a surgeon's precision and the gentle touch of an artist. A stirring account of the trials of adolescence." - Kirkus Reviews

Urban Trails San FranciscoModerate-level hikers can enjoy a hike to Mount Davidson - the city's tallest hill - led by the author of Urban Trails San Francisco. Alexandra Kenin, founder of Urban Hiker SF, will begin the hike at BookShop West Portal at 10 a.m. (An alternate start will be at 10:30 a.m. at the Mount Davidson hiking path entrance on Juanita Way, between Rex Street and Marne Avenue.)
