Old Priory Visit to Gibraltar
|
On the 5th of May 12 brethren from Old Priory Lodge set out for Gibraltar to visit “Royal Lodge of Friendship No. 278”.
A 2nd degree ceremony was conducted by W. Bro. Selvan Soobiah PAGDC, DGTreas, PDSGW. According to W Bro Steve McGarvie, the ceremony was very similar to ours apart from the Junior Warden carrying out the part of the ceremony with signs.
The festive board was a marvellous meal, with W Bro Gary Thomas, WM of Old Priory Lodge having the honour of replying on behalf of the visitors, which included Brethren from Romania, Spain and Portugal in addition to the Brethren from West Wales.

W Bro Huw Forster, WM of Teifi Hall Stone Lodge receives the Travelling Gavel
|
The West Wales Travelling Gavel will be spending the summer recess in Cardigan this year. Seven members of Teifi Hall Stone Lodge no 4648 claimed the gavel at the St Padarn meeting on Thursday 21st May 2015. The meeting had 12 visitors in total and as Bro Ian Brodie, JW of St Padarn quite rightly pointed out:
"Adding 12 visitors to any festive board gives it atmosphere and can bring it alive, it also makes the Junior Warden's efforts in writing a toast to the visitors well worth while." in that toast he used this rather apt quote: "We need old friends to help us grow old and new friends to help us stay young" - that is something that masonry can do well with just a little effort." |
And Finally....................
