Yours truly is very much looking forward to the Goodwood 76th Members Meeting which will take place on 17 and 18 March! This year we will make the road-trip from the Netherlands to Goodwood in England with an Austin Healey 3000! Hopefully the spring will by then have invaded our region!

NEW CLASSIC CAR BOOK: THE MG T-SERIES

This beautifully printed 96 page book introduces the reader to comprehensive and detailed story on the MG T-Series and their predecessors. The book is brilliantly written, like the first book on THE BIG HEALEYS, and it contains many period photographs and colour photographs from the Classicar Garage archives. Austin Healey Sprite Mk I 'Frogeye', year 1959. Colour dark red with a red (burgundy) leather interior and red carpet. Dark red mohair soft-top and aluminium side-screens. This fantastic Austin Healey ‘frogeye’ was fully restored and overhauled in the years 2016 - 2017. The restoration was a very thorough job; this Austin Healey Sprite is a very sound and solid car in TOP condition, concours!

AUSTIN HEALEY 3000 MK III PHASE 2, 1966
 
Austin Healey 3000 Mk III phase 2, year 1966. Colour British Racing Green with a black leather interior and black carpet. Black soft-top and hood-cover. This beautiful ‘Big Healey’ of the final Mk III phase 2 series was sold new in the USA. The automobile was imported to the Netherlands in the year 1995. Then the car was extensively restored to top condition. Altena Classic Service sold to the last owner in the year 2002. Ever since, the car was serviced and maintained very well. This magnificent Austin Healey is in very good condition and the car drives perfectly!

AUSTIN HEALEY 100/4 BN1 'LE MANS', 1954
 
Austin Healey 100/4 BN1 ‘Le Mans’, year 1954. 'Matching numbers’ of body and engine, the gearbox is a BN2 unit. Colour Carmine red with a red leather interior and red carpet. Red soft-top, aluminium ‘side-screens’ with red trim and a black vinyl pouch to store the side-screens. This Austin Healey was sold new in the USA. In the years 2014 – 2018 the car was extensively restored in Belgium and the engine was overhauled and tuned by Denis Welch in the UK. This ‘big Healey’ is in very good condition!

MASERATI KHAMSIN, 1974
 
Maserati Khamsin, year 1974. Colour green metallic with a dark beige leather interior, a brown Alcantara dash-top and black carpet with beige edge trimmings. This fabulous Maserati Khamsin is one of the only 430 specimens ever built. A magnificent looking and rare sports car! This Maserati was ordered by an inhabitant of the United Arab Emirates and it was delivered new to the United Kingdom. This Khamsin is a European model from the sought-after first series. The following owner lived in Germany and from 1986 the car was registered in Sweden. In Sweden the car was meticulously restored in the years 2005 – 2007. An extensive restoration file is present. The automobile was purchased by a Dutchman in the year 2014. In 2016 the car was class prize winner in the 12th Antwerp Concours d’ Élégance. This is a fantastic top-example!

JAGUAR E-TYPE V12 ROADSTER, 1973
 
Jaguar E-Type V12 roadster, year 1973. Colour Maroon red with a beige leather interior, beige carpet and black rubber protective mats. This fabulous Jaguar E-type V12 roadster was sold new in New York (USA), the automobile was imported to the Netherlands in the year 1995. Over the last years the car has had home-bases in Belgium and France as well. This wonderful Jaguar E-Type V12 roadster is in excellent to superb top condition and the car drives impressively! This E-type is perfectly serviced and maintained. In the year 2015 the powerful V12 engine was overhauled, on the invoice the overhaul works are described in detail. This is a superb example!

TRIUMPH TR 3B, 1962
 
Triumph TR 3B, year 1962. Colour dark-blue with a blue leather interior and dark blue carpet. Black soft-top, hood-cover and side-screens. This fantastic Triumph TR 3B was sold new in the USA. The TR 3B is a rare model which was produced for the American market. The TR 3B was conceived for customers who felt that the Triumph TR 4 was too modern. The TR 3B was fitted with the 2138 cc TR 4 engine and only about 3300 examples were built. This fine Triumph TR 3B was extensively restored in the past, the automobile is in very good condition and the car drives perfectly!

MG MGA 1600 MK II ROADSTER, 1962
 
MG MGA 1600 Mk II roadster, year 1962. Colour red with a black leather interior, black carpet and black protective mats with red embroidered MG logos. Black soft-top, tonneau-cover and side-screens with black frames. This gorgeous and quite rare (8719 cars built) MGA 1600 Mk II was extensively and beautifully restored in the Netherlands, a photo reportage of the restoration is present. The automobile is in superb top-condition (concours), the car shows all the original details, and the MG drives superbly!

This gorgeous MG MGA 1600 roadster was sold new in the USA and the car was imported to the Netherlands in the year 2003. In the past, the car was extensively restored by an MG specialist in the Netherlands. Since 2003, the car has known only one Dutch owner. The car is in very good to excellent condition and this MGA drives delightfully!

Triumph 2500 TC, year 1977. Colour brown with a brown cloth/leathercloth interior, brown carpet and black protective mats. This super original Triumph 2500 TC was sold new in the Netherlands. The Triumph shows all the original details, the car is in very good original condition and the car drives delightfully! It will be hard to find another 2500 TC in this super-original condition! The body is rust free and the perfect original interior shows only the slightest signs of use. The six cylinder in-line engine runs smoothly and the sound-track is fantastic!

This magnificent Porsche 911 cabriolet of the very popular 993 series (last of the air-cooled 911 models) was sold new in Canada. The car has driven only 78.800 kilometres from new. This is fully documented and also confirmed in the service-book. This fine Porsche 911 is in superb condition and the car drives absolutely perfectly!

VOLKSWAGEN 'BEETLE' 1302 LS CABRIOLET, 1971
 
Volkswagen ‘Beetle’ 1302 LS cabriolet, year 1971. Colour black with a pale beige leatherette interior and black carpet. Dark beige mohair hood and a matching hood-cover. This beautiful VW ‘Beetle’ is a quite rare 1302 model fitted with a flat windscreen, this model was only built for a year. The car was sold new in Germany. In the year 2009 the VW was imported to the Netherlands where it was beautifully and extensively restored! A photo reportage of the restoration is present. This fine Volkswagen ‘Beetle’ cabriolet is in excellent to superb condition and the car drives delightfully!

VOLKSWAGEN 'BEETLE' 1303 LS CABRIOLET, 1973
 
Volkswagen Beetle 1303 LS cabriolet, year 1973. Coloujr dark grey metallic with a black leatherette interior and black carpet. Black convertible-hood. This VW ‘Beetle’ was sold new in the Netherlands. The car is in good driver condition and it is being sold on behalf of the current owner. The automobile was re-painted in the past and on some parts of the floor metal repairs were executed. The interior is fully original and still in beautiful condition. This is an original Karmann built VW "Beetle", an all-time classic in a beautiful colour combination.

INDIAN PRINCE, 1926
 
Indian Prince, year 1926. Colour dark red with a dark brown leather saddle. This very rare and very special Indian Prince motorcycle is in a very original ‘barn-find’ condition! The motorcycle has been re-painted, probably before World War 2. This fabulous Indian undeniably shows its age but everything is in full working order! This historic ‘survivor’ shows a fantastic vintage patina which can only be obtained by literally ‘growing old’ in a barn. This super original motorcycle must be the ‘holy-grail’ for the true Indian collector or enthusiast. The 347 cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine delivers about 5.5 bhp and the machine weighs 127 kilogrammes empty. Indian once was the biggest motorcycle company in the world. These legendary machines were built in Springfield from 1901 until the mid-1950s, the early Indian motorcycles were ahead of the competition because of their very advanced design. Indians became famous before World War 1 because they built very competitive racers. The machines were also very successful on the old Brooklands circuit in England where Indians scored a 1, 2, 3-victory in the 1911 Senior TT-race. The Indian Prince is one of the most famous Indian models of the 1920s and therefore today very coveted by collectors and enthusiast alike.

INDIAN SCOUT, 1929
 
Indian Scout model 101, year 1929. Colour black with crème white petrol-tank sides, black wire wheels and a dark brown leather saddle. This rare and very special Indian Scout motorcycle was extensively restored some decades ago. This magnificent machine is in very good condition showing a beautiful vintage patina. The 596 cc 2-cylinder (V-Twin) four- stroke OHV engine delivers just over 8 bhp. and the machine weighs 185 kilogrammes empty. Indian once was the biggest motorcycle company in the world. These legendary machines were built in Springfield from 1901 until the mid-1950s, the early Indian motorcycles were ahead of the competition because of their very advanced design. Indians became famous before World War 1 because they built very competitive racers. The machines were also very successful on the old Brooklands circuit in England where Indians scored a 1, 2, 3-victory in the 1911 Senior TT-race. The Indian Scout and the Police Scout are the most outstanding models of the late 1920s and therefore today very coveted by collectors and enthusiast alike. These legendary American machines are very hard to find on the European continent; this Indian Scout is a true collectors-item!
