Hello to Our Lovely Fiber Friends! February is here! A month to celebrate love and cozy, warm clothing. We have some fast and fun projects you can knit up for Valentine's day whether you want to celebrate someone else or give yourself the kind of top-notch self-care you deserve. We want to make your February fabulous. Hurry in and we'll help you pick out something that's a feast for the eyes. We can't wait to see you and watch what you create.

This February, we are focusing on finishing those old projects. Do you have a single sock that needs a mate, ends to weave in, a sweater that needs another sleeve, or a hat that never got blocked? We want to encourage you to pull out those old projects and give them the life they deserve. To motivate you, we will be giving a $50 ReBelle Gift Certificate to one lucky finisher.

New In The Shop

If you haven't tried Malabrigo's Dos Tierras, a 50/50 blend of merino and alpaca in a dk weight, there is no better time than now. They just added eight stunning new colors to the already amazing line up of colors and we added all of them to our selection. From left to right: Denim, Rosalinda, Wabi-Sabi, Cabo Polonio, Whole Grain, Arapey, Paracas, and Indonesia. We love this yarn for everything from scarves to sweaters. It is soft and lovely to work with and because of the tight twist, it isn't overly fuzzy like a normal alpaca yarn and it has great stitch definition to boot.

Need a project to use this amazing yarn? In March we will be participating in the Malabrigo Dos Tierras KAL. This shawl uses three colors and we have kits availble in the shop. See the events section below for more details.
If you are a fan of valentines and/or amazing pinks, you are going to love this month's Crazy Beautiful Color of the month from Emma's Yarns. This pink and purple combo gives us 90's valentine vibes and we are completely in love. It also plays well with so many of their colors so if you are looking to start a new shawl or faded sweater, you might want to grab one before they all disapear.

Sarah took inspiration from the cold and assembled some of her favorite hand-knit hats to inspire you. From left to right: Halau Beanie by BKnitsHandmade , Kickin’ Kandy Stripes and the Walker by Sarah Hood (free in shop,) Whizzbees Beanie by Jenny Noto, and Big Sky Brioche by Susan Shelby. If you are looking for a quick project that uses 100g of yarn or less, a hat is one of your best bets.

You know a yarn is good when all the people who work at the shop are planning what to make out of it. That is the case with Saxony by Juniper Moon. Saxony is a whopping 75% cashmere mixed with 25% superfine merino. It has 120 yards per 50g ball and knits up as an aran or chunky weight, lovely on US size 8-10.5. Sarah has already used it to knit up the Towards North Hat, Lambing Mitts, and Huntington Hat, all one skein projects. It would also work well with these patterns: Felix Pullover, Felix Cardigan, and Brigandine.

For the month of February, Saxony will be 20% off!!

Events at ReBelle

For ReBelle's February CAL/KAL we will be focusing on those projects hanging out in the bottom of your project basket, the dreaded UFOs, HFOs, and WIPs. Whether weaving the ends in on that shawl you finished last winter, reworking the sleeve that came out too long, or simply picking up and working on that hat you abandoned last month. We want you to pull out those unfinished projects and finish them. Feel like starting something new? Why not make a mate for that single sock or single mitten that you forgot about? It doesn't even have to match!! Whatever your project, join us on Zoom every Thursday in February and we will get you motivated to finish it.

All ReBelle knit alongs are free and open to the public. You are welcome to attend as many or as few of the KAL sessions as you like. Every session you attend this month will get you one entry into the Finishing February prize drawing.

For the month of March, we will be participating in Malabrigo's Dos Tierras KAL. The project for this year is the Friendship Shawl by Jill Tamminen, a three color triangle shawl knit on the bias. Whether you are an experienced shawl knitter or brand new, you will find this pattern both fun and relaxing. The pattern uses one skein each of three colors, but could be done with as many or as few colors as you like. We will have color packs available in the shop with the official color selections and some of our selections or if you prefer to pick your own, we are always here to help.

All ReBelle knit alongs are free and open to the public. You are welcome to attend as many or as few of the KAL sessions as you like.

OR, if you want to knit your socks on fingering weight yarn, Susan will help you knit Rye light. We love this pattern because it has great diagrams and tutorials that really help a first time sock knitter move from newbie to expert in no time!
