HEADLINES:

Exclusivity for Church Point Permits

Council Report proposes: an unspecified “portion" of exclusive parking in the evenings for vehicles with Church Point Permits in both the main carpark AND the new proposed infrastructure.

Response: significant amount of exclusivity is necessary in the evenings 6pm to 6am to provide a positive benefit for the Offshore Communities – at least 50% in the main carpark and 100% in the new infrastructure

Cost and Fees

Council Report proposes: 1st CP Permit fee $500, and the 2nd $750; non-local residents will be charged $1,000; 50 leased spaces with an annual fee of $4,939

Response: CP Permit Fees should remain at their current level until the actual final cost of the project is determined. These fees are based on certain assumptions which need to be questioned.

Changes to Parking Arrangements in Eastview Road, Baroona Street and Quarter Sessions Road

Council Report proposes: Removal of parking spaces on the water side of Eastview Road; on the remaining side of Eastview Road, Baroona Street and Quarter Sessions Road parking regulations will be changed to 4P only between 8 am to 10 pm

Response:  CP Permits Exemption should apply to these regulations

Action:  Attend the Council meeting to support these responses
