ST. PATRICK'S DAY MANATEES! - Make the green scene with The Mighty O'Manatees this Thursday, March 17, at The Rising Sun in Telford, PA. The fun begins at 9:00 PM with the 8-Girl Fitzpatrick Irish Dancers (!) Chef Fred will be serving his famous Shepherd's Pies, Ham & Cabbage, Corned Beef & Cabbage, and Cabbage & Cabbage. $3 Jameson Shots! $5 Irish Car Bombs! Bar opens at 4:00 PM!

RANGER FUN FACT: Did you know that my paternal grandmother was from Northern Ireland? It's true! Her name was Marianne and she was born in Randalstown, County Antrim. She had 22 great-grandchildren, and 5 great great-grandchildren and she lived to be 105 years old! It's true!!
SHANATEES! - And speaking of the Irish...Jason Crosby, Randy Wagner and I will be playing in Shana Morrison's band when she opens for father Van Morrison at the beautiful Wang Theater up in Boston, MA on April 26, and 27. This historic venue only holds 3500 seats and both shows sold out instantly, but some tickets may still be available online. BOB T. & THE OTHER 3 - This Saturday, March 19, Bob Tomlinson and I will be joined by the original Manatees rhythm section of Randy Wagner and his cousin Myles Rothwell at K.C.'s Alley in Ambler, PA. Rumor has it that this club is named after a famous American entertainer. Katie Couric? Kelly Clarkson? Kevin Costner? Karen Carpenter? Kidd Candelario? You decide. Showtime is 10:00 PM
MANATEES LITTLE FEAT TRIBUTE! - To help commemorate Little Feat keyboardist Bill Payne's upcoming Sellersville Theater appearance on Thursday, March 24, we will be performing a musical tribute to Bill's band on the same night right down the road at The Rising Sun....
SALSA DANCE & INSTRUCTION W/ THE MIGHTY MANATEES - Do you like to salsa dance? Would you like to learn how to salsa dance? Salsa instructor Jeanette Ponder will lead a lesson on salsa dancing on Thursday, March 31, at Twenty9 in Great Valley, PA. ( http://twenty9restaurant.com/ ) The evening will begin with a 30-minute salsa dance lesson from Jeanette followed by a night of salsa music from The Mighty Manatees. Have you ever heard The Mighty Manatees play salsa music? This promises to be a happening happening. Special musical guest Blondy von Stenz on trumpet and percussion. Showtime is 8:00 PM. $5 cover. BUT THE BIG STORY TODAY IS:
"SINGIN' FOR THE CHOIR" - Saturday, April 2, 6:00 - 10:00 (or longer.....) As I mentioned in my last report, we are playing a big fund-raiser for my 11-year old daughter Fiona's Bel Canto Children's Choir. They are embarking on a small European tour right after school's out in June. This event will be held at the funtastic Pete's Barn at 1520 Whitehall Road, Worcester, PA. This is a "Beef & Beverage" show. Great food, drink and music! No children or animals please. The musical line-up for this performance includes a rare 2-keyboard, 2-guitar formation w/Jim Hines on drums & vocals, Randy Wagner on bass & vocals, and John Rosa-Bian on saxophones & vocals. Special musical guests include singer/songwriter Ray Adkins and local blues legend Mike Guldin! Raffle drawings! Big prizes! Tickets are available at all Manatees shows and also from Fiona's mom: Emma Kleinschmidt, quiltemma@gmail.com, 215-527-8973. $35. Get 'em before they are sold out! Do it for the children!
