Hello music lovers!
How are you doing out there? We’ve been hearing from some of you, which has been really nice - either through emails you’ve sent us, messages and comments during our live streams, or in the after show Zoom hangouts... We’re gradually adapting to this virtual world (while we need to), trying to make the best of it and, most importantly, keeping music live!
Don’t miss “Virtually Green Note”!
We’re now entering the fourth week running our “Virtually Green Note” live-streamed series, with our 8th show coming up this Wednesday. For those of you who haven’t yet checked it out, this is a specially-curated series which takes place every Wednesday and Friday, 8pm (UK time), which we are planning to continue for as long as our physical venue remains closed. Each show features 3 artists, playing ‘in the round’... we’ve been busy putting together some killer line-ups of some of our favourite artists who have played Green Note over the years. It’s been really fun, especially without the constraints of geography... and the shows have been absolutely fantastic!
These shows are most fun when watched live, as you can comment and interact in real time... as well as having the chance to join us and the artists for the after-show hangout/artist Q&A on Zoom. However, if you can’t make this time or miss a show, we keep the links live for a week on our YouTube channel before taking them offline, so you can still watch and donate during this time.
Please help us spread the word!
People have told us how much it means to them to still be able to see some of their favourite Green Note acts playing live, and it gives them something to look forward to every Wednesday and Friday evening. The fact that the show is in the round, means that the artists can interact with each other, making each show spontaneous and unique. We think we're creating something pretty special – even if we do say so ourselves! ;-) Now that we've got into a groove with it, we would love to get the word out further afield... And for that WE NEED YOU to help us spread the word about it!!!
If each of you recommended “Virtually Green Note” to just one other music lover (anywhere in the world!) who you think might enjoy what we do, that would be a huge help in getting the word out! The exciting thing about online shows is that there are no constraints of capacity or location, the way there are with gigs at our actual venue... so this is a chance for us to reach more live music lovers regardless of where they live. Please forward your music loving friends and family this newsletter, or tag them in our instagram/facebook/twitter/ send them to our YouTube channel... however you choose to spread the word... and let them know to check out one of our upcoming shows (or one of last weeks), and if they enjoy it to subscribe to our YouTube Channel so they can keep in the loop with future shows!
Thank you for supporting us in what we do. Please, continue enjoying the music, but most importantly, we hope you and your loved ones stay safe and well!
Lots of love,
Immy & Risa xx
