Professional Reviews for the People
During November, the US Review of Books will be giving away free First Chapters Reviews—a dynamic new feature where our senior editor takes a look at the power and focus of the all-important first chapter.

All authors and publishers may enter this contest. It doesn't matter if we've already written a review of your book. At least six First Chapter Reviews will be selected from friends and followers on our social media platforms.
Enter your book for a free First Chapter Review:

1) Connect with the US Review of Books (see links below). The more of our social media platforms you link with, the greater your chances of being selected. HINT: Our senior editor, noted author Christopher Klim, will be writing the First Chapter Reviews. It might help to also link with his author platforms (see additional links below), since this is where he most often interacts with the public.

2) E-mail the complete first chapter of your book (first chapter only; 20-page, 6000-word limit), along with the cover image to giveaways@theusreview.com. Include the title, author, publisher, publication date, and a relevant Internet link within the body of the e-mail. Please do not combine chapters. This is about the first chapter only. NOTE: We expect a large response. Incomplete correspondences or those sent to the wrong address will likely be ignored.

3) By submitting your materials, you agree to the following: If your book is selected for a First Chapter Review, the review will be published in the US Review of Books and stored in our review archive as well as the complete first chapter of your book for on-line reading.

If you want to guarantee to be in the premiere month of First Chapter Reviews, order now and jump to the head of the line.
