TSE All-Share
The
TSE All-Share Index advanced 0.32% on the first trading session of the week
to close at 78,876. Automotive (+3.58%) was the top gainer among several
sectors making significant improvements, while the biggest faller was
Machinery & Electric Equipment (-1.00%), continuing last week’s downward
trend. Automotive also posted the highest trading volume with IRR 317
billion (approx. USD 8 million) of shares changing hands. Stocks making the
biggest impact on the All-Share Index were led by Iran Khodro (IKCO +4.92%),
National Iranian Copper Industries Co. (MSMI +1.88%) and SAIPA Group (SIPA
+3.54%). Azarab Industries Co. (AZAB +3.26%) was the most traded share of the
day with IRR 156 billion (approx. USD 4 million) of shares exchanged. In
total one billion securities were traded on the TSE for IRR 2,457 billion
(approx. USD 62 million), up 106% from Wednesday’s trading session.
TSE30 Index
The
TSE30 index of the thirty largest companies by market capitalization closed
up 0.38% at 3,230. The two automotive companies, Iran Khodro (IKCO +4.92%)
and SAIPA Group (SIPA +3.54%), were the main positive drivers of the top 30s
index. In contrast Iran Transfo Corp. (TRNS -1.50%) and Esfahan Oil Refining
Co. (PNES -1.61%) were the weakest shares weighing most on the index. The
total traded value of the top 30s fell 12% from Wednesday to IRR 277 billion
(approx. USD 7 million).
