Each movie will be followed by a short discussion with special guests including Mr Hargreaves Magama (Chair of the South African Parliament's Committee on International Relations and Cooperation), Mr Bantu Holomisa (South African Member of Parliament and President of the United Democratic Movement), Mr Nathan Geffen (Former Treasurer of the Treatment Action Campaign and now an investigative journalist at GroundUp) and Reverand Edwin Arrison (Kairos Southern Africa). Below are the details of the films that will be screened and speakers that will be present for the discussion after the screenings.
The films are being screened by the newly formed Stellenbosch Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC Stellenbosch). The PSC Stellenbosch "adopts an International Law and Human Rights perspective when viewing the Palestinian-Israeli issue because there are clear guidelines under International Law, which help to clear the waters that have been muddied in this ‘debate’." The above three films is an awareness about the nature of the occupation as well as its status under international law.
