We're Celebrating Ivy and Bean Day at BookShop West Portal!

 Come meet Annie Barrows, award-winning author of the delightful Ivy & Bean series, at this very special Sunday morning event. Barrows will read from her sixth and latest installment, Doomed to Dance, in which Ivy
and Bean have begged and begged - and finally get - ballet lessons. The
girls thought that ballet meant leaping and kicking and wearing cool
costumes. They really have no interest in learning to dance gracefully. How will they
get out of the big recital without breaking their promise to finish the course?
Barrows' Ivy & Bean debut earned several awards, including:
ALA Notable Children's Book; Booklist, Editor's Choice, Best Books of 2007, and Kirkus Reviews, The Best Children's Book of 2006, Best Early Chapter Books.
