BOB MARLEY BIRTHDAY SHOW! - There is a barn in Telford, PA, and it's called the Rising Sun. And It's been the scene of our annual Bob Marley birthday shows. On Thursday, February 6, we will present a special evening of Bob's words and music. MIGHTY MANATEES VIDEO CLIP OF THE MONTH - This month's clip features long time Manatees friend Scott "Big Daddy" Gourley singing with us at The Sellersville Theater back in 2013. Scott was one of the first Pennsylvanians I met when I moved down here in 1985. At that time, he was in his early 20's and working in the kitchen at the old Center Square Hotel. I was a starving musician and he traded me a hamburger for a cassette tape of my music. A friendship was formed. A few years later we played together in a short-lived band called The Ishkabbibles. Now of course, Scott is the leader of hometown heroes, Big Daddy & The Fender Benders, and they play all over the tri-state area. In this month's video clip, Big Daddy is singing The Grass Roots hit, "Midnight Confessions". He is accompanied by Karl Frick on bass, Andrew Geltzer on keys, Jim Cavanaugh on drums, Ras Mykyl on percussion, Kathleen Weber and Nancy Josephson on harmony vocals, The Rhino Horns (Blondy on trumpet, John RB and Jim Verdeur on saxes), Joe Rizzo and myself on guitar. https://youtu.be/H3nZZR54dTI
