"Domestic Science" hits BBC Radio 4 this Autumn

We're utterly chuffed to announce our new science comedy series for BBC Radio 4, to be broadcast this Autumn. It's a four-part series where you, our noble listeners, will get involved in doing some hands-on science with whatever is around you at home.

Put the 10th and 20th of May in your diaries now if you want to be there for the recordings in London. Or to get more involved, keep an eye on our tweets and facebook posts - we'll be asking questions about your domestic routines and using your answers in the show.

Also join us at our new London comedy night, An Evening Of Unnecessary Detail, on the last Tuesday of every month. We'll be using it to try out new material for the radio show. Earlybird tickets are only £6.66 for sneaky peaks plus nerdy guests like Andrew Hunter Murray of Austentatious and "No Such Thing As A Fish", accidental emoji expert Tom Scott, anarchist chef George Egg, and Alaskan geek songstress Marian Call.

Brighton Science Festival, Cosmonauts Comedy and returning to the South Bank's purple upside-down cow
We have two very special shows this week. Both are close to selling out so if you're in either...

BRIGHTON on Thursday - Science Festival show with Professor Elemental (buy tickets)

LONDON on Friday - "Cosmonauts Comedy" with Robin Ince and Helen Keen (buy tickets

Then from April we're back at the Udderbelly Festival with four dates of an hour-long show we're calling "Just For Graphs 2!

We've taken our favourite bits of "Just For Graphs" and added some new flavours plus extra interactive fun. If you missed the tour last year, or you've only seen our previous Udderbelly or Edinburgh Fringe shows, you can expect plenty of new bits to enjoy in this show. Over 15,000 people saw us on tour in 2015 - they can't all be wrong!

Buy tickets here for Wednesday nights 20 April, 18 May, 15 June, 14 July.

£π pricing takes over at Spoken Nerd Shop Spring Sale

It's your last chance to grab a nerdy bargain at our shop, with downloads of Full Frontal Nerdity from £π (that's £3.14 in real money) and the last few Just For Graphs totes, tees, tea-towels, mugs and greetings cards - all in multiples of £π.

We won't be reprinting any of the Just For Graphs merch, so when it's sold out it's really sold out. But don't worry, you can always get signed copies of Full Frontal Nerdity as DVDs or limited edition download packs from the Spoken Nerd Shop. They're also available unsigned from Amazon, if you're in a hurry.

Video linkfest and Alice In Wonderland puzzling fun

Some links you might like this month:

 - Helen sings a new version of "Elements" on Channel 4 News for Jon Snow. He's a big ukulele fan, it turns out.

Steve goes all over the UK to present BBC Bitesize Science videos for primary schools, including this one about fire. Classic Mould.

 - Matt now has more YouTube followers than Twitter followers... Find out why videos about maths are so crazy-popular at his StandUp Maths channel.
The shows we did in January left some fun legacies too:

 - Our Alice in Wonderland show at the British Library featured this fantastically surreal game from Fancy Crab Studio's "Gyre and Gimble", plus all the answers to our Lewis Carroll-themed puzzles by Katie Steckles are here.

 - The UK debut of Zach Wienersmith's - AKA Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal's - notorious BAHFest was fantastic fun. Watch Matt hosting and Steve judging the Evolution night of bad ad-hoc hypotheses, and Helen hosting Big Science.

 - Finally, the very last night of our full-length Just For Graphs show was genuinely Off The Chart. Top marks if you were there, and bonus points if you created one of these charts, plots, diagrams or faxes on the night.
