DECLAN O'ROURKE (IRE) in Concert
(with special guest Aine Tyrrell)
Born in Dublin, now living on the wild windswept west coast of Ireland, this extraordinary spinner of song weaves his soulful melodies through half-remembered moments and dreams long-treasured. Larrikin and poet, his songs are infused with wit, the yearning of history and the patience of mortality; the balm of tenderness and the breath of hope.  Live in concert, O'Rourke moves seamlessly from hilarious spontaneity to transporting beauty.

Can You Help?

Do you have an empty shed or garage space?
We're looking for space in Canberra to store some of the beautiful decorations and art works that our brilliant volunteers create each year for our Festival event. At present our available space at EPIC and all the nooks and crannies in our office are chocker block. We are keen to start creating for 2018 but alas! space to store our creations is almost non-existent.
If you have space that you won't be using between now and Easter 2018, it's secure and water tight, you are in Canberra, especially anyone close to the Festival site at EPIC in Mitchell and, you'd like to help us out please give us a call on 02 6262 4792 any time Monday to Friday between 9:30am and 4:30pm.

Stalls Applications Are Now Open

The National Folk Festival is seeking stallholders who will contribute to the village atmosphere of the Festival and, who will support our creative community and sustainable initiatives. Our proposed new site layout will give us the opportunity to increase lighting, decorations and seating, so get ready for some great innovations in 2018!

We are looking for food and drink stalls, and market stalls selling handmade or global wares, body products and other interesting items. While we are always looking for something new, fresh and interesting we also want to hear from our regular favourites.

Some gaps we’d love to fill include a pasta food stall and stalls offering family friendly meals. Spread the word!
If you have a favourite market stall that you would love to see at the Festival please direct them to our website.

The application process has had some changes this year so, if you are applying as a stall holder please ensure you read all information on the website before completing an application. All enquiries should be directed to stalls@folkfestival.org.au.
