Photography News Goes Digital
In recent months clubs and societies have been receiving free copies of ‘Photography News‘ which you may have picked up in the clubrooms. This week Will Cheung has written to clubs explaining that the number of copies sent to each club is being cut in half due to the spiralling demand.
However, you can now register for a digital copy to be sent directly to you free of charge. To do so click here. Will also asks that if you have any news stories or items of interest regarding your club’s activities, send them to him at clubnews@photography-news.co.uk

Possible Photo Shoot
We have received the following request for promotional shots to be taken of a local duo. I wouldn't normally put items like this in the newsetter, but there aren't the usual restrictions attached to this request and any volunteer would be free to use any of the shots for their own use:
Subject: Possible shoot

Hello,

Apologies for the random (and quite possibly cheeky!) email but I’m emailing from a music duo who need some new promo shots. We’re both professional singers in our own rights but this duo project is new and we need some shots to complete our promo package. However, as this is very new we don’t have a massive budget so we were wondering if there was anyone in your society who may be interested in taking some shots for us for a reduced fee? We would of course credit the photographer anywhere the photos were used and they would be able to use the photos for their own portfolio.

If you have anyone that may be interested please let me know.

Many thanks,

Phillipa Cookman

And Finally (Well almost) ...........
Obviously spurred on by Helen Morgan's recent Icelandic Blog, Ashwin Chauhan, who is away on one of his regular trips to see family in India, has felt compelled to send in his own Indian Blog:

Day 1

Arrived at Rajkot, India at 4.30 pm. Pilot announced the temperature outside is 41 C, no rain.

Day 2

Woke up for a leisurely breakfast. Another warm, brilliant sunny day, thermometer reading 42 C.  A grey cloud on the horizon and a little thunder and a gentle breeze but no rain. Topping up my sun tan. Glad I am not in Iceland.

Day 3

Sunshine all day, temperature shot up to 42C again and no breeze. I wish I WAS in Iceland, I could hug an iceberg and melt it...................
