Million Hearts has launched an educational module as part of the National Interprofessional Education and Practice Consortium to Advance Million Hearts. Several colleges across the country are participating by having their students complete the module, which takes approximately 4 hours. Health professions students who complete the Million Hearts educational module on the Web site (which is free), will become a Million Hearts Fellow. At the end of the module, there is a mechanism for students to enter data on the 10 people for whom they conducted Million Hearts screening and/or education, so there can be tracking on the number of people reached through this effort. This module is intended to help students learn about how they can impact population health through Million Hearts and assist DHHS in preventing 1 million heart attacks and strokes by 2017.
For those faculty who were not able to have a faculty representative attend the last webinar, there will be another informational webinar on how to use the 4 hour Million Hearts module with their students on February 21 from 4:00 - 5:00 pm (ET).
