The outstanding Swedish outfit The Fine Arts Showcase, led by the visionary songsmith Gustaf Kjellvander, returns after last year’s triumphant breakup-record, “Dolophine Smile”, with the under three minute punkpop wonder that is the “This is the Day”-single.

We suggest you just grab it and let it float through your veins and through your LAN.

“This is the Day”, which borrows its name from the classic “The The”-tune, is a catchy song about changing your ways. Bassist Joachim Leksell and Drummer Fabian Ris Lundblad’s rhythmic drive lay down the basics to this locomotive of a song driving ever faster. Gustaf sings, as always passionately, that he is tired of digging his grave all the while Dan Englund’s hammering piano sounds like amphetamine damaged nerve endings falling apart at the seams. “This is the day” is a rocker of a song for everyone who ever truly understood the energy and passion of punk rock...enjoy!
