The Organizing Committee of the 4th Masters' International Sprint Games is looking forward to welcome all participants on the Sprint Games in Heerenveen. With this newsletter we already give you some information. Also at www.schaatscircuit.nl (on the left side under "NIEUWS" / "4th Masters' International Speed Skating Sprint Games") you will find all information about the games.

Training possibilities
You can train on the public hours in Thialf:
  • Monday from 10.45 to15.30
  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 13.15 to 15.30 and from 20.15 to 22.30 (the evenings are always very crowded in Thialf)
  • Friday from 10.45 to 15.30
Entrance fee: 7,15 Euro.
 
On Friday from 16.00 to 17.30 the training is free. 
 
Registration participants
The registration will be done in the Championsbar in icestadion Thialf. The registration have to be done before Friday 16.00 O’clock!!!!! If you cannot register yourself you can send someone else.
 
Extra tickets for Welcome Drink and Banquet
In the entrance fee 1 ticket is included for the Welcome Drink and 1 ticket for the Banquet. If you want to have more tickets (and did not order yet), you can order tickets for the Welcome Drink (5 Euro) and for the Banquet (30 Euro) by sending an email to Bram de Vries (bramdevries@xs4all.nl), before February 12th.
 
Competition on Thursday
On February 23rd, there will be a competition over 100, 300 and 500 meters, just for participants on the Master Games. The competition is from 11.15 till 13.00 and the entrance fee is 20 Euro. 
 
You can sign up for this competition by sending an e-mail, before  February 16th, with your name to: wedstrijden@schaatscircuit.nl. There can compete 76 skaters (based on the order of receipt of e-mail). 
 
Excursion Skating Museum Hindeloopen
There is a possibility for all the WK sprint masters skaters to see the unique and greatest collection of skates in the world. This collection is in the First Frisian Skating Museum in the historical town of Hindeloopen (see: www.schaatsmuseum.nl). 
 
The visit of this Museum will be on Friday the 24th of February from 10.45  till 13.30 O'clock.The entrance is free. There is also a restaurant for a drink or a delightful pancake. If there are sufficient participants we can arrange transport by car or by bus from the ice rink Thialf to the museum in Hindeloopen. We will charge a small amount of money for this transport. We will leave from Thialf at 10.00 O'clock.
 
Interested skaters can make a reservation up to February 20th by sending an e mail to: pieterbult@online.nl.

Speed Skating Services
From Friday 24th of February Sipke Bosma (known by all the top skaters) will be in Thialf for Speed Skating Services.
 
Prices are:
  • Just sharpening: 10 Euro
  • Bending, rounding and sharpening: 20 Euro
Sipke will be in Thialf:
  • Friday from 15.00 O'clock
  • Saturday from: 09.00 O'clock
  • Sunday from: 09.00 O'clock
