We have officially entered the coziest time of the year, our fireplaces are roaring and we are snuggled up in our favorite handknits. There is also the panic of last minute holiday knitting, but we wouldn't trade that for anything in the world (though we do prefer the post-holiday selfish project knitting.)
Our class calendar for the first part of 2020 is up! We've got sweater workshops, sock classes, cables, fair isle, steeeking, and more! Is 2020 the year you try something new?

Feederbrook Farm has come out with a Chunky weight version of Entropy. Entropy is one of our favorite yarns, so we are really excited to try out the chunky version. The roving is hand dyed before being spun at the mill which means the colors shift slowly throughout the skein. Entropy chunky is 100% BFL wool with 110 yards per 100g skein. Some good patterns for this yarn are: Gridiron Hat, The Fidget (cowl), Brassica (hat), Luxe Neckwarmer, and GAP-tastic Cowl. |
Just in time for the holidays, we received a restock of the MAB Elements shawl pins and coordinating earings. Whether on their own or paired with a beautiful handknit shawl, these handmade pins make a stunning and functional gift. |
Don't forget to tell your loved ones what you really want for the Holidays this year - a gift Certificate to ReBelle! Gift certificates are available in any amount and can be purchased in person or on our website. We will even mail them for free!!! |

Sock Basics
Teacher: Susan Winkler
Ready to knit your first pair of socks? This is the class for you!
We’ll knit the first sock during the class, and you’ll leave with the understanding and the resources to knit the second and may future pairs of socks.
Uses DK weight yarn, so lots of options:
solid or variegated, super wash or more traditional. These
socks will be knit on traditional double pointed needles, which will help you to understand sock construction. We will be using the book “I Can’t Believe I’m Knitting Socks," which will not only serve as a reference during class, but will help with future sock knitting.
Three sessions, $40
Wednesdays 1/29, 2/12, 2/26. 6-8:30pm

Celtic Cable Neckwarmer
Teacher: Susan Winkler
The Celtic Cable Neckwarmer pattern by Lindsay Henricks is a beautiful way to advance your cable skills. The cable pattern repeats through the entire project which will give you a chance to learn to knit from a chart and to learn to read both your knitting and a charted pattern. You will need 130yds of worsted weight yarn (sample in Malabrigo Rios,) US8 needles, 3 buttons, and a cable needle. Gauge can be anywhere between 4.5 and 5 stitches per inch.
Two sessions, $30
Thursdays 1/9 & 1/16. 6-8:30pm

Papillon Shawl
Teacher: Susan Winkler
The Butterfly/Papillon Shawl pattern by Marin Melchoir has taken the knitting world by storm. It's become an excellent way to show off those self striping yarns and is sure to turn heads wherever you go, it's a true work of art.
In this class Susan will teach you how to read the pattern, the ins and outs of short rows, using stitch markers and finding your place in the pattern once you have put it down. The class will knit the first few sections of the pattern as a group and you will leave with a solid understanding of how all of the elements work together to make the pattern you see. Then, at the end of class, you can choose to continue and finish the shawl version of the Papillon or you can finish off the class section of the project to create a bandanna cowl with the beautiful butterfly patterning.
Two sessions, $30
Thursday 1/23 & 1/30. 6-8:30pm

Steek this Cozy!
Teacher: Susan Winkler
This is an excellent first fair isle project and because of its size, also an excellent way to try your first steek. You will learn how to work multiple colors at once, how to read a colorwork chart, how to choose colors to use together, and the why and how of the steeking process. The steek will be done in the second class using the crochet method, but the stitched method will also be taught for those uncomfortable with a crochet hook.
Two sessions, $30
Thursday 2/13 & 2/27. 6-8:30pm
