Newsletter for Offshore Residents of Pittwater

As you know, the RFS Open Day is an important way of the Scotland Island Brigade engaging with local residents and ensuring everyone is well prepared for the coming fire season.

This year Open Day is the Sunday 17th September.

Activities will include:

CFU Training
Pump and hose activities including target practice for kids
Live fire - pile burn demonstration
Fire extinguisher demonstrations
Bush fire plan preparation and review
Advice about improving bushfire safety for Island houses
Smoke alarm demonstrations
Review and update of the emergency access and evacuation map
BBQ morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea

Hope you can join us at some stage during the day.

4m Quintrex Breezabout solid commuter $3400

Super strong build, 1980's Quintrex Breezabout, these things are about twice as heavy as the equivalent new ones and therefore much tougher. Tight as a drum and with a solid engine guard bar this hull is bulletproof and fully set up for commuting.

Motor is a 40hp 1985 Mariner (yamaha build and japan made) super reliable, starts immediately. Needs a replacement part to properly attach to the swivel pin and yoke, boat is drivable but this should be fixed before getting too excited, about $600 to fix and this has been knocked off the price. Otherwise in good nick.
