Wowzer!! The Letchworth Vintage Festival, was a HUGE success, with the most amazing sunny weather.
Thousands of people, attended over two days, from all over England, filling the town centre streets. Led by Joseph & Charlotte, JiveSwing created 3 stages, with a great atmosphere, including dance classes, social dancing, live bands, fashion shows, vintage DJ's and performances, by The JiveSwing Hoppers and Charlie's Angels.
Massive thanks to all the JiveSwing Crew and Volunteers, that came to help and support, this weekend. We couldn't have done it so well, without your help on the day.
Watchout for the newbies joining JiveSwing over the coming days...

CLASS NEWS/VENUE CHANGES:
1) As a result of all the Festivals, all JiveSwing beginner classes in July, will be suitable for absolute beginners, so bring your friends along.
2) JiveSwing (The Jazz Club) Hitchin - The format is changing, by demand. As of this Wednesday, we will start Beginners classes at 8:00pm and Intermediate Class at 9:00pm, to fall in line with all other JiveSwing Classes. (see more details below)
3) JiveSwing Hatfield Tap - Our New weekly Monday Tap Class is still going very strong. . It's never too late to join and learn, to get a few steps under your belt.
4) JiveSwing Shag & Balboa Course - Coming Soon - Watch this space !!

'NEW FORMAT'.
Based on feedback, we are changing the format at JiveSwing Hitchin. We are not hiring bands for Summer, but instead focusing on developing our keen budding swing dancers.
This means that from this Wednesday 3rd July, we are able to start the Beginners classes at 8:00pm and a solid Intermediate Lindy Hop Class at 9:00pm, allowing us to provide full thorough classes, to fit in line with other JiveSwing classes. We will resume Bands on a monthly basis, later in the year, as it's an important part of swing dancers development.

This workshop will be aimed at a small group of Intermediate and above dancers, looking to challenge themselves, working primarily on a range of classic Charleston and 6 count Lindy Hop moves, incorporating Jazz movement, Spins & Turns, Followers Styling, whilst focusing on more advanced lead/follow connection and other social dancing techniques, that make you stand out.

Dancers booking onto this workshop, will ideally have been attending weekly intermediate level lindy hop classes for 8 – 12 months or have completed our Fundamentals I & II workshops to feel comfortable with the pace, material and concepts taught.
This workshop will without doubt, give you the key tools to develop to the more advanced levels, so long as you follow our tried and tested methods.
