 Colorado Springs, CO – On Sunday, December 5th from 1-5 p.m. with mistletoe and sparkling snow and thousands of lights all aglow, eight local Pikes Peak area Bed & Breakfast (B&B) Inns will once again open their innkeeper doors for the Sixteenth Annual Bed & Breakfast Holiday Tour. This year’s tour theme, “A Few of Our Favorite Things”, will share great decorating ideas and warm hospitality to welcome the holiday season to the Pikes Peak region. Sponsored by the Old Colorado City Historical Society, guests will visit lovely area B&Bs to benefit the non-profit organization and its history center with all proceeds donated to the society. Built in 1890 as the First Baptist Church of Old Colorado City, the restored Old Colorado City History Center will also come alive with the spirit of the holidays at the museum, research library and bookshop. This year’s tour offers a chance to preview beautiful and historic B&B homes and the Old Colorado City History Center museum. The participating lodging properties are located in or near the Old Colorado City historic district, downtown Colorado Springs, and quaint Manitou Springs. Start your holiday season with a peek “inn-side” for a traditional Christmas in the Rockies and visit the “Season’s Best” with professionally and personally decked out inns, celebrating the holidays, our area and our Westside history center. It’s also a perfect opportunity to think about that someone who has everything for a potential gift certificate bed and breakfast getaway at one of the many local B&Bs.
Refreshments and a gift drawing featuring donations from Old Colorado City Merchants and Bed & Breakfasts will be held at the Old Colorado City Historical Society’s History Center on December 5th, at One South 24th Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80904 (All proceeds benefit the History Center!)
