Hello, Firstname

Wednesday 13 July

Next Wednesday, 13 July, (after a break caused by Covid) we see the welcome return of the Creative Competition. This competition was instigated by Bob Faris, who designed the trophy shown on the left and presented it to the Society. The competition is being judged by Rachel Domleo EFIAP CPAGB

Unfortunately, there wasn't a particularly large entry, so the second half of the evening will be taken up with a presentation by Steve Field EFIAP LRPS BPE2*. Steve will be presenting a talk on a trip to Iceland. If his recent talk about Norway is anything to go by, this will be well worth watching.

DI Group
Next DI (zoom) meeting is next Monday 11 July, to which ALL members are invited.

Last month we had a full evening of a variety of wonderful sets of images. I am hoping we will have a good response this month to show your images at the next DI meeting on Monday with whatever you may be working on. As there are no more club competitions to enter this season you may want to show your images for constructive feedback on your next year’s competitions. You are also welcome to ask questions on digital photography or just watch the proceedings.

As usual please send your images to me by Sunday 10 July, by 6 pm. Images: JPG format, sRGB colour space, 1600 x 1200 pixels (same as competitions but not strict), prefix filenames with 01, 02, 03 etc. if you wish to show them in that order. Email attachment size - max 20Mb per email as many as necessary. " I should add that all the images I collect will be forwarded to Jeff Hargreaves who will chair the meeting and present them on zoom. I have an unavoidable prior engagement and may be delayed or unable to attend.

LAST CHANCE TO GET TICKETS!
PAGB Interclub PDI Competition at Warwick
Saturday 16 July - PAGB Inter-Club PDI Championship at Warwick University

It's a great day out and a chance to support your club, see some of the best images in the Country and to meet photographers from around the rest of Great Britain - so come on, open the padlock on your wallet and buy your tickets now!

The above competition is one of the most keenly fought events in the calendar.
The TOP TWO clubs from each regional federation competition win the right to represent themselves, their members and their region in this annual national battle.

In the 2021 national competition we competed against 50+ other clubs from across GB, eventually finishing 8th

That final position, ie 8th, guaranteed us qualification at this year’s championship, but not being complacent we underlined our right to be there with our win in DPIC at the beginning of this year.

Tickets for this year’s battle are available now via the PAGB website – costing £12:50.

Come and join us in the audience and lend us your support. We’ve earned our place, let’s see if we can better last year’s outcome.

Irrespective of where we finish, it will be a great day filled with the very best images from the very best photographers in the country.
