Considered one of the best bass players in Portugal from the last 30 years by Blitz Magazine (PT) and a pioneer Lusophone 'World Jazz'
composer, arranger and producer, mostly known by his work with Carmen Souza, presents QUAMUNDOS2,
after 20 years of releasing the first Quamundos album back in 2001. 
 
 
Quamundos, meaning 'Union of People' in kimbundo- Angolan dialect, manifests the idea of a world where differences are respected, valued and incorporated. Connected by strong musicianship this powerful multicultural band, led by Theo Pascal, is made of Portuguese musicians with heritage connections to several countries like Angola, Moçambique, Cabo Verde, India, S.tomé, Bissau, etc. Featuring guests: Virtuoso saxophonist Lenny Sendersky from St. Petersburg based in Tel Aviv/Israel and award-winning, globally acclaimed singer-songwriter Carmen Souza on piano Rhodes vintage keys and vocals.The projected sound reflects a colourful image, musical richness and strong rhythmic cultural input.
The LIVE PERFORMANCE is a music locomotive of infectious grooves, unexpected arrangements and improvised curves.

This workshop sheds a light into the rich and diverse music history of the Cape Verdean Islands located just off the coast of Senegal.
Carmen Souza and her long time musical partner and master producer/composer - Theo Pascal - have created a unique and acclaimed sound identity that mixes the music and dialect of Cabo Verde and other lusophone sounds to Jazz.
Though audience participation and interaction, they will explain the composition dynamics, the cultural and sonic links behind their music.
