Don't miss an evening with
GENEEN ROTH
Author of Women Food and God
Hyatt Regency Embarcadero
Friday, January 14th at 7:30 PM
As many of you know, BookShop West Portal is the official bookstore at the annual San Francisco Yoga Journal Yoga Conference. We wanted to let you know about a very special event this Friday, featuring New York Times bestselling author Geneen Roth.
Roth, who wrote When Food is Love, will talk about how the way you eat is inseparable from your core beliefs about being alive. Your relationship with food is an exact mirror of your feelings about love, fear, anger, meaning, transformation and, yes, even God.
Since adolescence, Roth has gained and lost more than a thousand pounds. She has been plagued by feelings of shame and self-hatred, and felt euphoric after losing a quick few pounds on a fad diet. One day, on the verge of suicide, she dropped the struggle, and began trusting her body and questioning her beliefs. After more than three decades of studying, teaching and writing about what drives our compulsions with food, Roth adds a profound new dimension to her work in her new book, Women Food and God.
Don't miss this special evening, which will be followed by a booksigning. For tickets, including VIP tickets (which include entrance to a wine and cheese reception before the event),
