Native Plant Conservation Campaign Action Alert: Endorse the Botanical Sciences and Native Plant Materials Research, Restoration and Promotion Act!
October 5, 2016
Dear Native Plant Conservation leader:
Over the last year, numerous organizations, including the NPCC, have worked together to prepare a legislative bill that promotes botanical capacity and generates more demand for native plant materials. We are seeking sponsorship for this bill with legislators in the House of Representatives and the Senate, and are inviting organizations that support the bill's aims to show their support by endorsing it.
If you have not already done so, we would like your organization to consider endorsing this bill. Your endorsement is important because it will improve our chances of securing sponsorship in Congress. For details on current endorsers and the bill itself, see below. Please review this information and contact
Kay Havens or
me with questions or concerns.
To add your organization to the list of endorsers, please
email Andrea Kramer (akramer@chicagobotanic.org) by Friday, October 21, 2016.
If you may be able to endorse but need more time (e.g., to discuss at your next Board meeting), please let Andrea know that you are considering it and the date when you expect to be able to confirm endorsement.
