Announcements...

There are several articles published in Lori’s Dayton Daily News column which you might find helpful when tackling your next organizing project:
Fox 45 News asked Lori to offer kitchen tips for their viewers. If you need help organizing your kitchen, watch this short video.

Stop business card overload...

While attending networking functions many people hand you their business card even when you didn’t request one. You don’t want to be rude and hand it back to them so you keep it and bring it back to the office. Now you have a pile of business cards—some you want to keep and others you don’t, but you can’t remember which is which.

The next time someone hands you a card that you don’t want, put a small tear in the top corner (secretly, of course) before putting it in your pocket or purse. Now when you return to your office, you’ll know exactly which ones to toss.

Loved one in the hospital...

The next time you visit your loved one in the hospital, bring a spiral notebook to keep in the room and start journaling all the information you have gathered during your visit. Doctor, nurse, staff comments, changes to medications or diet, new exercises and anything else that pertains to their health. Ask anyone who visits to journal any information they gather as well.

Now when you, family or friends visit, they can view the log and stay informed without making phone calls and asking questions which may have already been answered.  It also serves as a great resource should the person be hospitalized again. You will have important health information at your fingertips.
