In The Spotlight
 Six Flags Great Adventure really began to hit its stride in the 1980's as the park continued adding exciting new rides and generally building the needed capacity to handle the ever growing crowds.

In The Spotlight:
 To kick off Great Adventure's very first Oktoberfest celebration in 1980, an authentic Festhalle was imported from Germany to serve as the centerpiece of the event. The giant hall could hold up to 1500 guests who could enjoy the authentic German food, drink and music throughout the day.
