Het Dordrechts Museum staat in het 400ste geboortejaar stil bij het leven van Johan de Witt, een van de belangrijkste en bekendste politici uit de Nederlandse geschiedenis. In een historische kunst-tentoonstelling met werken van de beroemdste kunstenaars uit de zeven-tiende eeuw, stelt het museum de vraag: wie was Johan de Witt?
Het bijzondere is dat ik in 2018 een schilderij maakte van Johan de Witt en dit werk een plek krijgt in de aan-komende tentoonstelling.

In the 400th anniversary year of his birth, the Dordrechts Museum is paying tribute to the life of Johan de Witt, one of the most important and well-known politicians in Dutch history. Through a historical art exhibition featuring works by the most renowned artists of the seventeenth century, the museum poses the question: who was Johan de Witt?
A special aspect of this exhibition is that a painting I created in 2018 of Johan de Witt will be included in the upcoming show.

Ander atelier
Mijn atelier werd in 2020 opgedoekt. Tot op heden werkte ik op verschillende plekken en dat gaf onrust. Daarnaast maak ik door NAH al jarenlang wekelijks gebruik van een 'escape', een ruimte elders, om te kunnen 'ontprikkelen'. Het bijzondere is dat ik nu binnen afzienbare tijd bij Hijltje Vink in Stolwijk een schuur kan betrekken die we deels ombouwen tot atelier en rustruimte in een prachtige omgeving met uitzicht op de weilanden, schapen en lammetjes. Dat is heel fijn.

Another studio
My studio was closed in 2020. Since then, I have worked in various locations, which has been unsettling. Additionally, due to acquired brain injury (ABI), I have been using an 'escape' space elsewhere for years to help me unwind. Excitingly, I will soon have the opportunity to move into a barn at Hijltje Vink’s property in Stolwijk, which we will partly convert into a studio and a quiet space. It is a beautiful setting with views of fields, sheep, and lambs; something I truly appreciate.

Galeria Azur, Berlijn
In oktober dit jaar zal mijn werk in een groepsexpositie te zien zijn bij Galeria Azur in Berlijn. Ik kreeg dit aanbod al begin vorig jaar, maar moest het uitstellen vanwege mijn beperkte energie. Ik ben dankbaar dat dit realiteit gaat worden en was ook wel verrast dat de galerie mij ontdekt had via Instagram. Daarnaast vind ik het een pluspunt dat mijn werk dan ook op Artsy.net te zien is, een wereldwijde 'kunstmarkt'. En Galeria Azur zit naast Berlijn ook in New York, Miami, Buenos Aires en Uruguay.

Galeria Azur, Berlin
This October, my work will be part of a group exhibition at Galeria Azur in Berlin. I received this opportunity early last year but had to postpone due to limited energy. I am grateful that this is now becoming a reality and was pleasantly surprised that the gallery discovered my work through Instagram. Additionally, I consider it a great advantage that my work will also be featured on Artsy.net, a global art marketplace. Galeria Azur has locations not only in Berlin but also in New York, Miami, Buenos Aires, and Uruguay.
