Debi is dedicated and passionate about helping people reduce stress, achieve work life balance and tap into emotional well being for a happier, and healthier lifestyle. She uses a variety of modalities to help her clients such as medical qigong, meditation, breathing, personal wellness inventory and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique/Tapping) Debi is certified in qigong, t'ai chi, mediitation, yoga & EFT and licensed by PMA (Pastoral Medical Association). We are delighted to have her here to help you transform your health from the inside out! The key: stress less, live more, and be happy!

Come through the door of the Olde Square Inn, a retreat center located in historic Mount Joy for those who need to renew their spirits, quiet their emotions, and be able to let go of the stresses of everyday life.
The Tranquil Weekend Journey includes:
  • a two-night stay at the Olde Square Inn where you will enjoy homemade breakfasts each morning and a delicious lunch on Saturday
  • classes conducted by Debi Dunn, geared toward reducing stress and creating a healthier lifestyle, such as morning qigong (Chinese Yoga), meditation and breathing techniques, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique/Tapping), and a discussion on how to manage stress
  • 60-minute massage or facial
Debi and I have partnered to make this an extra special retreat designed to energize your personal well-being and happiness. I've found that many guests come through our doors weary. Some share that their hearts are heavy because of caring for aging parents, adult children moving back home, loss of a job, the loss of a loved one, or they are just feeling overwhelmed.
When these guests leave the inn many tell us they feel renewed after experiencing the kindness and gentle spirit that exists within these walls.  
Guests always delight in our homemade breakfasts. They savor fresh, locally grown foods, and creative, delectable menus which are never the same!

Weekend Itinerary

Arrive at the inn and get "settled" in. The pool is open for your relaxation as well as our upper balcony where you can enjoy the fish pond and your favorite bottle of wine (you bring the wine, we'll supply the glasses). For dinner, walk to one of many wonderful restaurants located along Main Street. You could also go beyond our small town to the Accomac Inn, which overlooks the scenic Susquehanna River, for a five star dining experience. The Accomac Inn has graciously offered our guests a $20.00 gift certificate towards your meal.
  • We will have a few bite-size delectables waiting for you upon your arrival.
  • Check-in is from 4-6 p.m., but don't get stressed if you can't be here by 6 p.m. as we will make arrangements for a late arrival.


8:00 a.m. Breakfast  If weather permits, we will be serving breakfast outside on the veranda or on the grounds.
9:00-9:45 a.m.  Wake Up to Qigong!
Come experience morning moving meditation from China known as qigong (Chinese word meaning working with your vital energy life force) taught by Debi Dunn, a Level 3 Certififed Qigong & T'ai Chi instructor by the National Qigong Association. It is often referred to as Chinese yoga, but performed with fluid movements that anyone can do regardless of fitness level. It may improve balance, flexibillity and strength and is foundational to the Traditonal Chinese Medical model which focuses on prevention of illness and disease. We will stretch and wake up our mind/body/spirit for an exciting day full of activities, learning, yummy food and a relaxing massage or facial.

10:00-10:45 a.m.  Transitioning into a Stress Free Fall!

Debi, an Adjunct Professor of Stress Management at West Chester University as well as a well-being coach, will discuss how we all can find ways to ease our transition from summertime into the busy fall season. Many feel a bit of anxiety and apprehension about getting re-energized about a full fall schedule. It is important to find ways to manage stress, find balance in all the demands put upon us all and find some personal peace in all the craziness around us. You will learn the one-minute meditation technique, deep breathing, and some ways to use time management to balance work-life for more joy and happiness for you and your family this fall.
10:45-11:45 a.m. Tap Into Your Emotional Well-being with EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) & EFFT (Emotional Freedom Face Lift)

One of the most effective stress reducing and emotinal empowering modalities that Debi has found is called EFT. Emotional Freedom Technique is a combination of energy psychology, emotional intelligence and acupressure that has been found to improve many emotional imbalances. It may result in improvements from physical issues such as fibromyalgia, arthritis, back pain, migraines and more mental concerns such as anxiety, panic attacks, and depression to name a few. Dr. Mercola, and Dr. Oz speak highly of EFT's effectiveness with their own patients. Over 95% of all preventable illness and disease is stress related. Beneath that stress are emotional issues, and usually a spiritual disconnection, which can create blockages in our energy or qi systems. When acupressure is applied, the emotions are released and people fee much improved. Your issues are in your tissues!
Debi will show how the use of therapeutic essential oils may enhance the process called EFFT. She will teach you how to apply the oils in a particular manner resulting in emotional release and facial muscles that tighten naturally given the appearance of a face lift! You will look years younger...and ladies it's much better than botox any day!
