CANCUN Again - but better than ever! December 3 - 6
This year's trip shifts into high gear to add more music and activities in the evening and also give the travelers opportunities to take advantage of the tour activities that are included in the package. As a charity event it is attracting some of Music Row's movers and shakers. The top tier of rooms have already been filled. For Wade this is a great opportunity to be seen by the industry as well as the fans. A good showing of his supporters would be a big boost to their understanding of what a great artist he is. This is news we've eagerly waited for!! Wade is in the studio finishing work on a new CD. He's expecting to have it ready before summer. As soon as we can, we'll let you know how to get your very own copy! There will be digital releases as well.

* NOTES
.. Centre, Alabama. The first big concert held in the new Gadsden State Cherokee Arena. The opening act was Leah Seawright, a local talent. It was interesting to watch her perform on stage with the sound of a full band backing her and no musicians in sight. Such is technology.
Wade fans had the first 2 rows in the auditorium. Wade "had" the whole arena with his set of hits and new material. Here's the list"

Randy Lanham and his sweet fiddle were there to aid and abet. Wade and Randy are both great friends and great musicians.
The new "God Made Me (to Love You)" should have a "wedding song" imprint on it, though Wade said he didnt write it for that purpose. A short time into the song, the guy sitting in front of us pulled his girl closer and near the end of the song, he kissed her. That's a powerful song.
Mark Chesnutt was the closing act. He grabbed the audience with hit after hit. Michelle Edwards, a Wade fan, won a guitar autographed by Mark. Of course, she had Wade sign it, too.
* NOTES
.. Clarksville, Tennessee - Kickers, a large bar near both Ft. Campbell and Austin Peay State University. Kickers has a good dance floor with table seating around it and a good sound system. A fun place with lots of good dancers. Wade hit the stage with a lively rendition of "I'm Gettin' Too Old For This." He wrote this as a counterpoint to his original "Old Enough to Know Better," and we're all glad to hear the line that says, "Some day I'm going to quit (the good times), but it SURE AINT' GONNA BE RIGHT NOW." The crowd agreed that it was a night for "good times." Having a good time, in addition to those from Tennessee and Kentucky fans, were Wade fans from California, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Wyoming. April 18 and April 25 were certainly "Good Nights."
