The Wheel’s national Charity Summit will bring together the leaders of over 400 charities and community groups to discuss the critical challenges facing Irish society and the charity sector. The event is Ireland’s largest gathering of charities & community groups. The programme includes contributions from 46 top speakers on issues such as sustainable public services, integration, threats and restrictions on freedom of association facing the NGO/community and voluntary sector and more.
HIGHLIGHTS
- A warning will be issued to the government that vital public services in health, disabilities and home care are at risk of collapse from Summer onwards due to systemic under-resourcing and a growing staffing crisis. Panel discussion from 9.40am-11am.

- Announcement of winners of the Dr Mary Redmond Award, a national honour bestowed by The Wheel’s board of directors on a person who has made an extraordinary contribution to civil society in Ireland(4.15 pm)
