BHAF Site Reps Meeting
17th January 2018 at 7pm

Dear Site Reps,

Happy New Year!

You will probably have seen the previous email sent to all plot holders informing everyone about our 'Compost Initiative'. This will be discused in detail at our next Site Reps meeting which is on

Wednesday 17th January 2018
at Patcham Community Centre
from 7pm.

Come along and register your delivery of free organic compost for your site!
The above meeting is for Site Reps only and will focus on Site Rep issues. If you have any issues you want to discuss or items for the agenda please let us know. We will be discussing how well the aims of the strategy are being implemented.

Compost Delivery
We will arrange delivery of organic compost from the Brighton Compost Co-Op, delivered either loose (truck load, around 1.8 cubic meters/1.25 tons) or in jumbo bags (half-ton bulk bag).

The distribution should be organized by site reps in collaboration with plot holders. Plot holders have been asked to contact their Site Reps to register their interest.

Site reps:
- Please let our treasurer Hannes Fröhlich (email: froehlich71h@gmail.com) know how much compost should be delivered
  to your site
    - Specify where the compost should be delivered to (specific address and place), and whether it should be loose or jumbo bags
    - We also need a date/time for delivery (please specify 2-3 dates) - someone from your site needs to be at the site for delivery.
This should be in March or April
- Please inform the interested plot holders of the delivery date, and coordinate distribution

Deadline for orders is the 28th of February 2018. Deliveries will be in March or April.

Happy gardening in 2018,
BHAF

Allotment Site Rep Meeting Details
The meeting is in 2 parts; the first half hour, beginning at 6.30pm, is an informal surgery where people have an opportunity to speak to BHAF members or the Council Allotment Officer on a one-to-one basis over a cup of tea.  This allows individual and personal issues to be dealt with more quickly and efficiently.

The second part of the meeting begins at 7pm and relates to more general and city-wide allotment issues, we sometimes have a guest speaker as well.  If you have a problem/question or an item for the agenda, come and talk to us during the surgery and we will do our best to help.

There is free parking at Patcham Community Centre and on surrounding streets.
For those travelling by bus, the 5 and 5A buses stop within 2 minutes walk of the centre (The Ladies Mile bus stop, just past Old London Road).

Timetable details can be found here:

We look forward to seeing you.
Best Regards,
Mark Carroll
for
BHAF Committee.
